Wymondham 10K entries now open

On 24 November hundreds of runners will take to the streets of Wymondham for a new 10K race organised by South Norfolk Council.

The EAMA 10K, sponsored by East Anglian Motor Auctions will start at 10am at Lady Lane in Wymondham.

The route, which starts near the famous 12th century Abbey, takes in some of the district’s most picturesque views as runners follow the quiet country lanes that skirt the town.

Cabinet Member South Norfolk Councillor, Yvonne Bendle said:

“Getting people fitter and healthier is one of our key priorities. This event is part of an overall project that will help to boost community leisure provision across the district.

“We’ve already had a huge amount of interest and have worked closely with Wymondham Athletics Club to create the event. It’s going to be a fantastic day and bring lots of people to the town.”

All participants will receive a medal and a t-shirt for taking part and there will be trophies and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as well as first place prizes for different age groups.
