On-street and residential parking
The on-street parking enforcement in Norfolk was transferred from the police to local authorities on 7 November 2011.
Enforcement of on-street parking restrictions, including yellow lines and time-limited spaces is now carried out by our Civil Enforcement Officers. They have the power to issue Penalty Charge Notices (fines) for parking infringements as above.
Parking legal orders
Find the parking restrictions here on Norfolk County Council's interactive map.
For information on residential parking, dropped kerbs and yellow lines can be found on Norfolk County Council - Residential parking, dropped kerbs, yellow lines and parking restrictions
Disabled parking and blue badges
A Blue Badge is a disabled parking permit that allows people who are registered blind, or those with severe mobility issues, easier access to public facilities. Norfolk County Council issue Blue Badges, find out more and apply for a blue badge.
If you receive a parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice) in South Norfolk, you will need to pay Great Yarmouth Borough Council who manage this service on our behalf. Details of how to pay or challenge the parking fine are on the back of the Penalty Charge Notice.
