We provide a bulky waste collection service for large household items such as furniture, electrical items and white goods.
We will collect up to three items from households in South Norfolk for £46.50 increasing from 1 April 2019 to £47.75. Additional items can be collected for a further charge of £5.20 each increasing from 1 April 2019 to £5.30 each.
We are unable to collect DIY waste which can be taken to your local Norfolk County Council recycling centre.
If your item is in good condition and suitable for reuse, please see BinGenie for more options.
You may be entitled to a reduced fee if you are in receipt of relevant benefits such as Pension Credit.
Please note if we have high demand for certain dates, this may affect your chosen collection day.
Householders must ensure that their waste is correctly disposed of. Before you let someone other than South Norfolk Council take away your waste you should:
- Ask to see the person’s waste carriers licence. These licences are issued by the Environment Agency. If they don’t have a licence, don’t use them. To check if someone has a valid licence you can contact the Environment Agency on 03708 506506
- Ask where they will be taking the waste
- Keep a record of any paperwork they give you including their name, address and waste carriers licence number
- If you pay someone to take away your waste who isn’t a registered waste carrier and your waste is flytipped, you will be responsible for this. If you are found guilty of breaching the Household Waste Duty of Care Regulations 2005 you could face a fine up to £5,000.
