Be part of the rebellion at Kett’s Fun Day and Fayre

On Sunday 1 September South Norfolk Council will be working with historical events specialists, Black Knight to bring the story of local hero Robert Kett to life.

You will be able to hear the famous Wymondham man giving the rousing speech he made to his army of peasants, who opposed the land enclosures of 1549. You will be able to Interact with characters from the time and learn what life was like in this turbulent period.

The event will feature a Tudor encampment, minstrels, story tellers, archery, falconry, muskets and much more for the whole family to enjoy. There will also be a food court, craft stalls and for younger children a medieval fancy dress competition and quiz running throughout the day.

There will also be fairground rides provided by L Gray and Sons Funfair.

The event is open from 10.30am to 4pm at the Old Rugby Club, Tuttles Lane, Wymondham NR18 0EN

£1 entry for adults. Kids go free. Plenty of free parking
