Your Council at your fingertips

Local information is now just a click away for South Norfolk residents thanks to the Council’s latest website improvements which launched today.

‘My Account’ is a brand new addition to South Norfolk Council’s website which gives residents quick and easy access to information that matters to them.

By simply creating a secure online account via the homepage, they can immediately access everything from their rubbish and recycling collection days to planning applications near them. Residents can also change their personal details and manage their preferences.

Anyone who signs up in August, September and October will be entered in a monthly prize draw and have a chance of winning a treat at Imagine Spa at Wymondham Leisure Centre.

South Norfolk Council’s Cabinet Member Kay Mason Billig said:

“Within seconds residents can find information tailored to them all in one place. They’ll also be able to update their personal information such as their address, making it much simpler and easier. This is all part of our drive to make it as easy as possible for our customers to deal with us and at a time that suits them. Visit our website and try it for yourself!”

‘My Account’ also gives residents information about their Council Tax banding, local councillors, ebilling settings and much more.

In the future, as the Council continues to develop its website, people will be able to view their council tax bills and other invoices, as well as having the ability to sign in through social media channels.

Recently, the Council changed the look of the site to make it easier for customers to access online services and are continuing to increase the amount of services customers can book and pay for.

Councillor Mason Billig said:

“We are always adding to and improving our online services. In fact, if you have access to the internet South Norfolk Council is never closed!”
