Broadly Active - exercise referral scheme

Broadly Active is a 12 week programme of exercise that is prescribed by your Doctor, Physiotherapist or other Health Practitioner.

It can help with conditions such as:

  • high blood pressure
  • diabetes
  • arthritis
  • high cholesterol
  • anxiety and depression
  • chronic back pain
  • stress.

The scheme will help you manage your health through exercise, including:

  • exercise classes
  • gym based programmes
  • water based exercise
  • supervised health walks
  • condition specific programmes.

Advice and exercise classes will be delivered virtually at the moment. Individual needs will be assessed and adapted where possible.

Sheryl Clark 

Sheryl is based at Long Stratton Leisure Centre and has been working in the fitness industry for eight years. Three years of which has been working actively in exercise referral, specialising in Neurological disorders such as Stroke and acquired Brain injury.

Kelly Parkin 

Kelly is based at Wymondham Leisure Centre and has been in the fitness industry for seven years. Four years of which has been actively working in exercise referral, specialising in the management of low back pain and Cardiac rehabilitation.

If you are interested in signing up please download and print the Broadly Active referral form and take it to your Doctor, Physiotherapist or other Health Practitioner to discuss your options.

Once you have been referred, one of our instructors will be in touch to arrange an induction to discuss your reasons for referral and how we can meet your needs and goals through exercise.
