Two councils supporting Work4all

Work4all is a new initiative delivered by the councils’ Help Hub to support Broadland and South Norfolk residents in their search for the right job.

South Norfolk Cabinet member Yvonne Bendle said:

“The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in residents losing their jobs through no fault of their own. This scheme is designed to help people find new jobs, improve their skills and also help school leavers enter the employment market.”

Broadland District Council’s portfolio holder for wellbeing, Cllr Fran Whymark said:

“Both Councils are working hard to support the local economy and local businesses recover as the COVID-19 restrictions start to be lifted. Work4all is about helping individuals rebuild their lives and help them back into work.”

If you are unemployed or soon to be unemployed, if you have been made redundant, looking for a career change or leaving further education with no employment in place work4all may be able to help.

Working with partners, the two councils will act as employment navigators, providing a free, friendly, personalised service to help residents find a new job with all the support they need in one place.

The Help Hub will work with residents to set small achievable goals, to enable them to have the skills and confidence to succeed, and help them to find a job they’ll enjoy.

The work4all service will offer:

• one-to-one information and advice
• navigation to vacancies and training
• help to create a great CV and covering letter
• guidance on how to apply for a job and write an application
• assistance with interview techniques
• support with confidence building
• free virtual employability training courses
