South Norfolk leisure centres offer online fitness classes during lockdown

South Norfolk Council’s leisure centres are streaming their most popular exercise classes throughout lockdown, enabling anyone to watch them at home for free either live or at a time that suits them.

From energetic Dance Fit and High Intensity Interval Training to Yoga and Pilates, there’s a wide variety of classes to choose from, and all are available via South Norfolk Leisure’s YouTube channel.

Just search ‘South Norfolk Leisure’ on YouTube and see what you want to try.

Class descriptions and an online class timetable, for those wanting to join in live, are on the South Norfolk Council website – search ‘lockdown’ from the homepage to find everything you need to know.

“Gyms and leisure centres may be closed until 2 December but you don’t have to miss out on feeling fit and healthy. And if you’re looking for motivation to get moving, joining in with classes led by an instructor, whether it’s live or later on, could be just what you need,” said Councillor Alison Thomas, Portfolio Holder for Customer Focus.

South Norfolk Council’s leisure centres are also setting daily fitness challenges that anyone can take up through the centres’ Facebook pages, so follow your local one to join in:

• Diss Leisure Centre
• Framingham Earl Sports Centre
• Kett's Park
• Long Stratton Leisure Centre
• Wymondham Leisure Centre
