South Norfolk Council is offering free taster sessions for Swim School Ducklings at Diss Leisure Centre.

The 30 minute taster sessions for babies and children aged 3 months to 5 years are being held every Thursday from 7 December to 25 January (excluding 21 and 28 December) between 12:00 - 1:30pm.

Councillor Yvonne Bendle, Cabinet member for Leisure said. “Swimming is not only a skill that may one day save your life, or the life of someone you love, it’s also a great way to exercise while having fun. It’s really important that we get children swimming and feeling confident in the water as early as possible and Swim School Ducklings is the perfect way to take the first splash.”

Swim School Duckling takes babies from their first splash and continuously develops their confidence and competence in the water. Classes are held in the learner pool with an experienced teacher and parents as support.

Spaces can be booked by calling Diss Leisure Centre on 01379 652754 and parents can find out more about Swim School at www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/swim-school
