Reuse and Recycle event visits Hethersett

South Norfolk Council’s popular reuse event returns to Hethersett Village Hall on Monday 13 August.

Residents can recycle and reuse unwanted textiles, furniture, books, board games, televisions and small electrical items.

Items can be dropped off between 9am and 3pm, and if they pass onsite safety checks, taken away for reuse between 11am and 3pm.

All electrical items which are brought to the event will be safety tested and then made available for local residents to collect. Any materials which are broken or unsafe will be safely recycled by the Council. There is an optional donation to charity.

At the end of the event, all items not taken away for reuse are donated to charity.

Working with communities, South Norfolk Council has so far recycled more than 14,300 items, reused another 9,000 and saved over 150 tonnes of materials from going to landfill.
