New property wheeled bins

From 1 January 2018 we no longer provide free of charge wheeled bins for household refuse and recycling for new properties.

Developers building new houses will be asked to pay £72.60 for the procurement, storage, delivery and administration costs of the provision of the bins for their new properties.

If communal bins are required the cost will be £262.90.

Speak to your house builder to ask if they have made payment for your bins before you contact the Council to request them.

For further information and the process on how to activate the delivery of your bins please read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

For information about our decision to charge for bins for new properties please see the report agreed by Cabinet 12 June 2017. If you have further questions, please contact us.
