Planning Act 2008 – Application by Ørsted Hornsea Project Three (UK) Ltd for an Order Granting Development Consent for the Hornsea Project Three Offshore Wind Farm.

The application for development consent to construct, operate and maintain Hornsea Three, comprising of up to 300 wind turbine generators together with associated offshore and onshore infrastructure ( including substations) and all associated development has been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) on 14 May 2018 and has been accepted for examination on Friday 8 June 2018.

Orsted are planning to publish and notify people of the accepted application the week commencing 11 June 2018 under section 56. It will be through this section 56 notice process that all ‘formal representations’ should be channelled via The Planning Inspectorate (PINS) in the established examination process to ensure that these are recorded and can be considered by the Examining Authority.
At this stage, the public will be able to register with the Planning Inspectorate to become an Interested Party by making a Relevant Representation. A Relevant Representation is a summary of a person’s views on an application, made in writing.
Following the Relevant Representation period (starting on the 14 June 2018 and finishing on 22 July 2018), PINS will appoint an Examining Authority and Interested Parties will be invited to attend a Preliminary Meeting (date to be determined by PINS).
