A person’s home is a central factor in determining whether they are able to achieve their potential in terms of health, wellbeing, education, employment and participation in the community. All residents should have access to a safe home, of a good standard, that they can afford and are able to maintain.
The vision of the South Norfolk Housing Strategy is to ensure all residents have access to and are able to maintain a good quality home that meets their needs and aspirations. The housing secured, and the support provided where appropriate, will assist local people in maximising their life opportunities. Residents will be ‘opportunity ready’ for housing, jobs, healthy lifestyles, independent living and their community. The strategy focuses on four priorities:
- Providing it
- Accessing it
- Living in it
- Prospering in it.
