Following their overwhelming agreement to embrace a strategic collaboration South Norfolk Council and Broadland District council members have voted to confirm Trevor Holden as their new Managing Director.
Trevor is Norfolk born and bred; he attended Wymondham High School before a short stint working at Lotus cars and he has served in the RAF. Trevor started his career in local government in 2007. After working as a Director in Derbyshire, he was appointed as Chief Executive of Breckland Council. He then moved to Luton Borough Council, where he has worked for the last eight years and has been instrumental in growing the council-owned airport and delivering the Luton Investment Framework.
Trevor said: “I am delighted to be joining South Norfolk and Broadland District Councils at this very exciting time, I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and to engage with and listen to local residents and businesses to help them achieve their ambitions.”
John Fuller, Leader of South Norfolk Council and Shaun Vincent Leader of Broadland District Council said: “All of the candidates went through a rigorous two day recruitment process and the standard was very high. However, Trevor emerged as the candidate with precisely the right combination of skills and expertise that we need to drive our ambitious growth agenda. With Trevor in a position to lead both councils we will now take advantage of the larger scale provided by our collaboration, to improve services for our 260,000 local residents and for our 10,000 businesses.”
