Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor

South Norfolk forms part of Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor spanning 100 km between Cambridge and Norwich.

This is an ambitious initiative to attract new businesses to the area and build technology based clusters between Cambridge and Norwich.

The Tech Corridor provides an attractive location for businesses interested in capitalising on the Research & Development and business opportunities from Cambridge University, the Norwich Research Park and the Hethel Engineering Centre.

Once fully developed the initiative aims to deliver:

  • Up to 15,000 new jobs in engineering, agri-tech and other LEP target sectors, as well as wider sectors of importance to the economy
  • £900 million private sector investment in construction activity
  • 20,000 new homes along the corridor.

The initiative is supported by four district councils, Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils, New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and Greater Cambridge/Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership.
