Parent and baby group Chatter Bubbas are celebrating after receiving a South Norfolk Council Go For It Grant.
Originally the group was set up in Costessey by local Health Visitors, but proved so popular that the local mums decided to continue running it.
Last month, Chatter Bubbas successfully applied for a £300 Go For It Grant for new toys and other play equipment.
Local Mum Dawn Wale, said:
It can be lonely being a parent and Chatter Bubbas gives mums from both the Hampdens and Queen’s Hills a chance to meet, talk and share problems and solutions.
We were delighted to get the grant from South Norfolk Council. It was really easy to apply for and although it wasn’t a big amount, it has made a huge difference.
South Norfolk Councillor Clayton Hudson, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, said:
If you’ve got an idea for a project or group that will bring people together, than we can help make it a reality. These grants are easy and quick to apply for, so if you’re thinking about how to pay for equipment, publicity material or anything else to get your project off the ground then go for it and get in touch.
Go For It Grants support small not-for-profit projects which bring the community together. For more information about all the grants the Council has available, visit www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/grants, email email@example.com or call 01508 533633.
Chatter Bubbas meets at the Copper Beach, Alexmoore House Way every Monday from 11:00 -12:00.
