Who is eligible?
From April 2010 the age of eligibility for the state pension will change, rising by two months every one month. This means the earliest date on which you can get your bus pass will depend on which month you were born in and will not fall on your birthday. The table, which you can download above, sets out when those approaching the age of 60 will become eligible for their concessionary bus pass.
Entitlement
- We issue the new National Bus Pass free to anyone who is eligible for the scheme and permanently living in Norfolk.
- The pass entitles the holder to free off-peak travel on local buses anywhere in England. Off peak hours are 9:30am until 11pm Monday to Friday, and all day weekends and bank holidays.
- A local enhancement for Norfolk residents entitles you to free travel on any journey that starts in Norfolk between 8:30am and 11pm week days, and all day weekends and Bank Holidays, so you can start your free travel 1 hour earlier.
