Character Appraisals

Summary

To preserve the unique charm of the district's towns and villages, we are conducting character appraisals of our conservation areas, assessing each area's character and reviewing the boundaries.

Wymondham
In 2009, we published an appraisal on Wymondham's conservation areas, which was subject to wide consultation and a public meeting. We have incorporated many of the suggested changes, including some changes to the boundaries. 
 
There was also support for other areas to be added and three of the areas are currently under consideration.

Long Stratton
We have prepared a draft Conservation Area appraisal for Long Stratton which is now subject to consultation.  A copy of the appraisal and further details can be found by downloading the document below.

Diss
The draft appraisal for Diss Conversation Area has been completed and a copy and further details can also be also be found by downloading the document below. 

We would like to hear your views on adding the three areas, as well as changes to the specific boundaries.
