Advertisments & signs: guidance for advertisers

Summary

Front cover of the DCLG guide to Advertisment Control

There's a specific set of rules about displaying outdoor advertisment and signs. The Department of Communities & Local Government (DCLG) has published a guidance leaflet which explains how the rules work.

So if you want to apply for permission to display an advertisment, make sure you read it first. You can download the guide from the DCLG website [external link]. The guide takes into account the recent Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisments) (England) Regulations 2007.
