This is a c19 Ice house formerly serving a Manor House demolished in the mid c20. It has no registered owner. The structure above ground level has recently collapsed. It appears that this was partly due to the severe prolonged spell of cold weather at the end of 2010.
Until a new owner can be found the building is likely to deteriorate further. The Council has made an application to English Heritage to have the building de-listed.
