Activity classes

A wide variety of activities are on offer at Long Stratton Leisure Centre. There is something suitable for all ability levels and age groups. You could try badminton, basketball, 5-a-side football, netball, roller-skating, tennis, cricket, gymnastics and martial arts.

Fitness classes

Fitness classes are available during the daytime and in the evenings. Booking for these classes is essential and can be made either in person or by calling 01508 531444, seven days in advance from 8.00am.

Fitness class descriptions

Boxing Circuits: This is a circuit training class with a boxing theme suitable for all levels.

Circuit training: Designed to adapt to many fitness levels, the class includes stamina, strength, endurance and cardiovascular exercise.

Core conditioning: A combination of intense floor and swiss ball exercises. Concentrating on the abdominal muscles.

Cross training: A combination of aerobics, step, toning and floor work.

Freestyle Fitness Yoga: It’s a class that incorporates deep stretch, yoga and pilates exercise and is designed to target flexibility, core strength and relaxation.

Groove FX: A fun and funky dance class for all levels. Set to the latest chart music.

Kick Boxing: A fitness based class for all levels involving a combination of kick and punch moves to improve balance, fitness and co-ordination.

Slasa Sa-Cise: A mixture of low impact aerobic movements combined into a salsa routine.

Step Circuits: Simple hi-lo moves on and around the step incorporating resistance training and aerobics. An easy to follow class for multi-level participation.

Tomahawk Cycling: This class is indoor-based, burns fat and calories, and builds stamina and fitness. Please bring a bottle of water and a towel and come prepared to sweat!

Tone Zone: An intense top –to- toe toning class which will help to blitz those important areas!

Total Tone: This intence toning class is suitable for men and woman. It will tone your body without increasing size.

Yogalates: A class combining Yoga and Pilates moves. Working on posture and core muscles to improve strength and flexibility.

50+: This session covers cardiovascular exercise, toning and stretches, all helping to keep the muscles and joints supple. Badminton or Darts available after for those who wish.

Creche available Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9.30am - 10.30am.
