Fortunately crime levels in South Norfolk are relatively low, but the risk of crime – and in particular burglary – means we should all make sure we are doing what we can to make our homes as secure as possible. The Norfolk Safe and Secure Scheme can help if you are worried about the threat of crime to your home.
What is the scheme?
The scheme is run by the Partners against Crime Taskforce (PACT) in partnership with us, with other councils in Norfolk and with local organisations.
A range of security measures can be provided such as window locks, security bolts and door chains.
Who is eligible to apply?
Anyone, whether a homeowner or tenant, who is:
- Aged 60 or over;
- Or in receipt of a means tested benefit;
- Or disabled.
Our Housing Standards Team will give you more advice and help you to apply for the scheme. Contact us using the details provided below.
