Mobile home & caravan licensing

Summary

Most caravan sites, including those used by holidaymakers or those where people live, must be licensed. We issue licenses with a number of conditions relating to the proper management of the site and the safety of the people who live there - particularly regarding fire safety.

Complaints & inspections

We investigate complaints and carry out regular inspections to check that the site owner isn’t breaking any of the conditions in the license.

If you live in a park home or residential caravan site where you pay ground rent to the owner, you have some legal protection regarding your tenancy and protection from harassment.

If you have a complaint about a site owner, please get in touch with us and we will investigate it - our contact details are given below.
