Housing for older people
Summary
If you are having problems with your housing situation, our Housing and Advice Team can talk through the options available. A visit can be arranged if you have difficulty in coming to the office. We can offer advice on:
- Staying in your current home;
- Changes that may be necessary to make your home more suitable for your needs;
- Other housing options if you are looking to move;
- Landlord problems if you rent your home;
- Specialist and support agencies that may be able to offer further help;
- Welfare, debt and state benefits form our own Welfare Rights Officer;
- Our Care and Repair Service, when repairs or adaptations are needed to your home.

- Contact the Housing and Advice Team online, or by email, telephone or letter (our details are at the foot of this page);
- Or you can visit our Long Stratton office, Monday to Friday (not bank holidays) between:
- 8:45am and 5:00pm Monday to Wednesday;
- 9:30 am to 5:00pm Thursday, and;
- 8:45am to 4:15pm Friday. - If you are homeless in an emergency outside these times you can telephone 01508 531277.
