Greater Norwich Housing Partnership logoThe partnership's priorities

The partnership is made up of three local authorities, social housing providers, and statutory & voluntary agencies.

It has produced the Greater Norwich Housing Strategy 2008 - 2011, which guides all housing activity in the sub-region.

Vision of the new Housing Strategy

The vision in the new strategy is 'to ensure there are sufficient decent homes which people can afford, in places they want to live, within sustainable and thriving communities.'

The strategy explains how the partners intend to meet these strategic aims:

  • Moving towards a balanced housing market;
  • Building sustainable & thriving communities;
  • Delivering more affordable housing;
  • Providing decent, healthy and environmentally sustainable homes;
  • Providing choice and fair access to services;
  • Working effectively in partnership.

We have our own Local Housing Delivery Plan that sits under the Greater Norwich Housing Strategy.

Greater Norwich Housing Market Assessment

The first big project for the partnership was a detailed study of the Greater Norwich sub-region's housing market. Details of the project, plus the results of the research, is published in the Greater Norwich Housing Assessment mini site.
