About the Safer Neighbourhood Action Panels (SNAPs)

Summary

Your Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) meeting gives you the chance to get more involved and have greater control over what happens in your neighbourhood area. SNAPs discuss issues at a local level, help to shape local services and bring about improvements. To do this we need your views and ideas.

Find out here how they work and how to get involved.

Further information

The five Safer Neighbourhood Action Panels (SNAPs)

There are five SNAPs across South Norfolk:

  • Eastern River Valleys SNAP;
  • Northern River Valleys SNAP;
  • Tas Valley SNAP;
  • Waveney Valley SNAP, and;
  • Wymondham and West SNAP.

Find out which SNAP you are in by choosing your town or village from the parish information page.

SNAP meetings

The SNAPs will hold meetings three or four times a year (depending on the area). The meetings are open to everyone.

Each SNAP panel is made up of five district councillors, one county councillor, one police officer and five community representatives from the neighbourhood area. See details of SNAP membership.

Local people can bring issues or concerns about local problems to the SNAP meeting for discussion. You can also contact your local councillor to find out more about your SNAP, or to discuss an application for the Neighbourhood Fund.
