LDF consultation: questionnaire results (Autumn 2005)

Summary

In Autumn 2005 we asked you about some of the important issues that will help shape South Norfolk until 2021 as part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) consultation. Some of the results from the short questionnaire are set out on this page, and you can download a detailed analysis of the responses we had from the full questionnaire (with 60 questions).

Question four

If we concentrate employment in towns and villages to avoid people travelling, are we denying rural areas the chance to grow?

Yes: 166 (41%)
No: 245 (59%)

Question five

Could we make better use of shops in rural areas (e.g. by allowing farm shops to sell a wider variety of goods i.e. non-food items)?

Yes: 368 (88%)
No: 51 (12%)

Question six

Could you make more use of walking or cycling or public transport for essential journeys (e.g. to work, school, shops)?

Walking: 122 said they could
Cycling: 128 said they could
Public transport: 224 said they could
