Assisted bin collections

Summary

If you are elderly and infirm, or you cannot put your waste out on the collection day due to illness or disability, we offer a service to collect your rubbish and recycling for you from inside your property.

How to request the Assisted Collection service

  1. Contact us online (link under 'Online forms' below), or by e-mail, telephone or letter (our details are at the foot of this page);
  2. Information we will need from you:
    - your full name;
    - your full address including your postcode;
    - your home telephone number and a number which we can contact you on during normal office hours if this is different;
    - your email address (if applicable), and;
    - how you would like us to get back to you.

About the service

We offer this service to those people who, due to age and/or infirmity, cannot move their waste to the edge of their property.

Do I qualify?

The service is only available to people who:

  • are registered disabled, or;
  • are elderly and infirm, or;
  • have a physical medical condition that means they are unable to move their waste.

To qualify for the service you must not have any able bodied persons living in the property with you. Every two years we will ask you to renew the service.
