Clinical waste collections
Summary
The Council collects clinical waste from domestic premises free of charge. Clinical waste includes incontinence pads, stoma bags and dressings.
Incontinence pads, urinary catheter bags/tubes and stoma bags should be double-bagged and placed in your black wheelie bin. Should this extra waste become a problem please contact us.
Wound dressings, some forms of dialysis and some wound/blood catheters need a special collection. Please contact us to arrange this.
We no longer collect sharps/needles. Your local surgery should provide you with a sharps container.
