Food poisoning

Summary

We investigate all food poisoning incidents in South Norfolk, or affecting South Norfolk residents. If you think that you have food poisoning it is important that you contact your doctor for medical advice. If you know of a number of people who become ill following eating the same food, contact us as soon as possible with the details of where you ate or bought the food that caused the problem.

How to report food poisoning

  1. Contact the Food Team online or by e-mail, telephone or letter (our details are at the foot of this page);
  2. Information we will need from you:
    - your full name;
    - your full address including your postcode;
    - your home telephone number and a number which we can contact you on during normal office hours if this is different;
    - your email address (if applicable);
    - how you would like us to respond to you, and;
    - details of where you ate/where you bought the food item from that has caused the poisoning.
