Stray/found dogs
Summary
Our Dog Warden Service only collects detained stray dogs. If you have found a stray and have been able to keep hold of it, please contact us to arrange collection. If you have lost your dog please report it us, with a full description of the dog and the time and place it was lost. You should also report this to your nearest police station.
If you find a stray dog out of office hours you should contact our Out of hours service on 01508 533633, or call 0808 1684444 for further details on where the dog can be taken.
If you have lost your dog please contact your local council to see if they have collected it as a stray. It is also a good idea to contact any other local councils as the dog may have been picked up in another district.
We publish details of the dogs that our Dog Warden Service has collected. If there are any currently in care that were found in the South Norfolk area, the details should be published below. It is always best to contact us so we can log the details of your missing dog - see our page on Reporting lost animals for details.
If a dog is yours, or you know whose it might be, use the contact details at the foot of the page to get in touch with us.
