Housing Renewal Strategy

Summary

We aim to offer everyone the opportunity of a decent home and therefore to improve the health, welfare, wellbeing and quality of life of the residents of South Norfolk. Our Housing Renewal Strategy and the associated policies have been developed to provide inclusive gateway services, based on need and risk assessments to support our aim.

The strategy describes our policies to:

  • help vulnerable people to remain in their homes;
  • bring properties up to the decent homes standard;
  • adapt homes to meet the needs of disabled occupants;
  • improve the energy efficiency of homes, and;
  • encourage empty homes to be brought back into use.
