Getting on the Electoral Register

Summary

If you want to use your right to vote at elections you first need to have your name on the Electoral Register. It is also much harder to obtain credit if your name isn’t on the register.

How to get your name on the Electoral Register

  1. Download the form (link below) and print it out;
  2. Complete the form, providing your name (one person per form) and address;
  3. Say whether you would like to be on the full or edited register – see our frequently asked questions page for the differences between the two versions of the register;
  4. Sign the form and return it to the Electoral Services Team, South Norfolk Council, Swan Lane, Long Stratton, Norwich, NR15 2XE. (The return address is also on the form.)

Alternatively you can visit our offices to add your name to the register.
