It’s playtime at Queen’s Hills in Costessey this half term, thanks to South Norfolk Council’s Play Rangers.

They will be hosting two fun sessions for kids of all ages at the Primary and Nursery School from 10am-12noon on Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 October.

Children will enjoy rounders, dodgeball, giant jenga, snakes and ladders, volleyball, frisbee, stuck-in-the-mud, skittles, tennis and many more games.

South Norfolk Council Deputy Leader Councillor Martin Wilby said:

“These fun play sessions have proved incredibly popular in south Norfolk, with over 1,500 children joining in since July.

“Youngsters always have a great time and make plenty of new friends, while parents chat together, knowing the children are enjoying themselves in a safe environment.

“That’s why these sessions are so popular, as they get everyone out of their houses and bring the whole community together. So, if you live nearby come and join in the fun!”

The Rangers will be at the following locations throughout October:

Wymondham- Bellrope Close NR18 0QZ Tuesday 20th October 3pm - 5pm

Stoke Holy Cross- Long Lane NR14 8LY Wednesday 21st October 3pm - 5pm

Costessey- Queen's Hill Primary and Nursey School NR8 5AZ Tuesday 27th October and Thursday 29th October 10am - 12pm

The Council’s two Rangers are paid for out of the Big Lottery Fund as part of the £200,000 awarded to South Norfolk Council in 2007 for its 3 year ‘Raising the Game’ project to boost children’s play.
