Benefit fraud

A Diss woman has been ordered to do 75 hours of unpaid community work by Norwich Crown Court after admitting benefit fraud.
Michelle Baker, aged 37, of Russet Road, Diss, pleaded guilty to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit fraud totalling £2,254.36.
She was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday (8 September) to a 12 month community order, during which she must undertake 75 hours of unpaid work.
She was also ordered to pay back the overpayment in full at £85 per month and repay South Norfolk Council £1,000 in costs within the next three years.
