Sickness success

South Norfolk Council staff take less time off sick than people working in the private sector.
The council's latest figures show that in the four months to July, it lost on average under a day and a half through sickness per staff member.
If that continues - and accounting for seasonal variations - the council predicts that this year, staff sickness could be just over five days, beating the private sector where the average is almost six days.
