South Norfolk celebrates the wartime spirit

People from across Norfolk will soon be heading to the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum at Thorpe Abbotts for a nostalgic weekend of fun and spam sandwiches!

Make Do And Mend on Saturday 8 August is the latest in South Norfolk Council's Festival of the Arts events, and features the Rag Roof theatre company from Brighton.

They will be reviving memories from the 1940s with foot-tapping musical favourites.

There will also be authentic 1940s Punch and Judy, American wartime vehicles, live music featuring songs from film and stage and museum displays - all within the atmospheric setting of the 100th Bomb Group.

Visitors can bring a picnic or just enjoy the wartime rations.

The event is Saturday 8 August, from 2pm to 7pm, adults £5, concessions £4 and children £3, with tickets available on the gate.
