Children celebrate national play day

Children and young people in Brooke, South Norfolk will be celebrating national play day next Wednesday.

The free event organised by South Norfolk Council is from 10am until 2pm at Brooke Village Hall and Playing Field on the 5 August, and is open to all youngsters aged up to 16, along with their parents or guardians.

Activities include climbing wall, bungee trampoline, archery, African drumming and hoop dancing, face painting, as well as sports including rounders, kwik cricket and parachute.

There will be crafts including making drums, badge maker and a toddler area with ball pond, rockers, large bricks, tunnels and skittles.

The games area will include circus skills equipment, snakes and ladders, hoops, wobble boards, croquet, mega four and high tower.

There will be refreshments.
