Deadline days for County and Euro election voters

Released on 22 April 2009

South Norfolk residents have until midnight on May 19 to apply to get on the electoral register and until 5pm for a postal vote for the coming European and Norfolk County Council elections.

Those wanting to appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf must have their applications in by 5pm on May 27.

The deadlines particularly affect new residents not on the register or those who want to make sure they are on the register at their new address. They must complete the voters registration form which can be found at www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/elections.

For postal votes, the closing date for getting valid applications into the Council is 5pm on May 19. Those who have registered for a permanent postal vote or have applied recently, need not reapply.

For further information contact South Norfolk Electoral Services Team on 01508 533686/7.

Polling for the European and County Council elections take place on 4 June across Norfolk.
