Summary

Two parish council elections were held in 2008. The Barford & Wramplingham Parish Council elections on 20 November 2008, and the Wymondham Town Council election on 18 December 2008. The results of both elections are given below.

Barford & Wramplingham election results

  • Mary Ritchie Dorrell: 73 votes (elected);
  • Gavin David Gary Wallace: 36 votes.

Wymondham Town Council election results

  • Malcolm John Andrews: 38 votes;
  • Diana Margaret Hockaday (Liberal Democrat Candidate): 398 votes (elected);
  • Christopher Alan Longhurst (Conservative Party Candidate): 225 votes;
  • Kevin O'Grady (Labour Party Candidate): 41 votes;
  • Andrew David Pond (Conservative Party Candidate): 258 votes;
  • John Harrold Turner (Liberal Democrat Candidate): 323 votes (elected);
  • Douglas C Underwood (Labour Party Candidate): 48 votes.

The turnout for the Wymondham election was 36.7%.
