2008 Diss Ward election

Summary

Here's the result of the Diss Ward by-election, which took place on Friday 27 June 2008:

  • John Cowan (Labour Party), 63 votes (3.4%);
  • Eloise Ellis (Conservative Party), 1041 votes (55.6%) ELECTED;
  • Trevor Wenman (Liberal Democrat Party), 768 votes (41%).

The turnout at the election was 33.4%. (Turnout means the number of people who were eligible to vote at the election who 'turned out' to give their vote.)
