Free cycling at Council’s new studios
Released on 02 December 2008
If you want to get fit and lose a few pounds in time for Christmas, come along and give indoor cycling a go for free
Alison Furlong, Leisure and Sport Development Manager
Two brand new indoor cycle studios will be opening on 3 December at Long Stratton and Wymondham Leisure Centres.
As part of the opening celebrations, the Centres, run by South Norfolk Council, are inviting people to come along on the day and have a go for free.
Qualified instructors will be taking the classes and providing lots of help, encouragement and fitness advice.
South Norfolk Council’s Leisure and Sport Development Manager Alison Furlong said:
“Indoor cycling is not only great fun, but an excellent way to burn calories and strengthen and tone the lower body. You can go at your own pace and adjust the bike's resistance to suit your abilities, so everyone can have a go.
“We offer a range of classes catering for complete beginners through to the much more experienced cyclists. We will also be running disco sessions and have interactive projectors with cycling software to make the classes more fun.
“So, if you want to get fit and lose a few pounds in time for Christmas, come along and give it a try for free.”
