South Norfolk for Life and Living – building and landscape design award 2008

Released on 20 August 2008

South Norfolk Council is planning ahead for its Design Award event on 14 November 2008 at which, once again, it aims to give due recognition to the district's qualities and local expertise in new building design, extensions, conservation and landscape design.

Design champion, Cllr Martin Wynne said:

"The standards reached in previous years are constantly being matched and improved upon. We expect to see the very best in inspirational design this year too, not just in buildings but also innovation in energy conservation features and imaginative landscaping schemes.

"There is still time for entries to be submitted by owners, clients, architects, landscape architects, designers, contractors, manufacturers, parish councils, amenity societies or any member of the public – the closing date for entries is Monday 1 September."

Entries will be judged by an assessment panel comprising Councillors and Officers and an external assessor nominated by the Norfolk Association of Architects on behalf of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
