Have your say on future growth
Released on 04 January 2008
South Norfolk people are being urged to join one of the biggest consultations on the future growth of Greater Norwich as part of a rolling consultation, due to end on February 8.
New sites need to be found across Greater Norwich for more homes - including South Norfolk. And with more homes come more and better jobs, schools, transport, medical and leisure facilities.
South Norfolk Council, Broadland Council, Norwich City Council and Norfolk County Council have formed the Greater Norwich Development Partnership (GNDP) to manage that growth through a Joint Core Strategy.
A rolling consultation on the Joint Core Strategy is under way, with events across Greater Norwich. They give people the chance to offer views, ask questions and get information face to face with council staff.
Already, over 50,000 homes in South Norfolk have received the Partnership's Joint Core Strategy consultation and information leaflet.
These are the consultation events being staffed by South Norfolk Council officers:
Monday 7 January, Mulbarton Village, 12pm - 7pm
Tuesday 8 January, Loddon, The Hollies, 12pm - 7pm
Wednesday 9 January, Costessey Owen Barnes Room, Breckland Hall 12pm - 7pm
Friday 11 January, Hingham Village Hall, 1pm - 7pm
Saturday 12 January, Wymondham Waitrose, 9am - 4pm
Sunday 13 January, Eaton Waitrose, 11am - 4pm
Tuesday 15 January, Sainsbury, Longwater Costessey, 9am - 4pm
Wednesday 23 January, Harford Bridges Tesco, 9am - 4pm
