Councillor Joe Mooney, of Wymondham has been elected the new Chairman of South Norfolk Council.

And he immediately announced his determination to make South Norfolk a cleaner, greener, brighter place.

He told Councillors at the annual meeting in Long Stratton:

“My theme for this year in Office is a Brighter South Norfolk, and I hope that by working in partnership with the local councils, local residents voluntary groups, churches, sheltered housing, schools and other community, we can create a cleaner, greener Brighter South Norfolk.”

The council can achieve that aim by adopting a can do attitude, working in partnership with its stakeholders and its excellent staff”.
