Welcome spruce-up for leisure centres

The future's bright for Diss and Long Stratton Leisure Centres as South Norfolk Council kicks off an early spring clean next month.
At Diss, the pool will be emptied and cleaned, the poolside redecorated and seating areas and showers cleaned and repaired. Air conditioning is being installed in the fitness suite and the customers reception is being redecorated.
The pool will be closed from Saturday 10 February until Tuesday 20 February to allow the work to be completed.
There is some change to opening times at Diss Fitness Suite. It is open from from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of February and on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of February. It is open from 8am to 9pm between the 12th and 16th of February and on the 19th and 20th of February.
At Long Stratton Leisure Centre, the sports hall, studio and reception area are being cleaned and redecorated. The squash courts will get a welcome facelift.
That means Long Stratton Fitness Suite will be open from 8am to 3pm on the 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th of February. Between the 12th and 16th of February, it will be open from 8am and 9.30pm.
Public notices of the changes have gone up at the two centres.
