Get involved in the future

Across the country planners are working on the new Local Development Framework – which replaces the Local Plan. And consultation with residents is central to the process. Alan Gomm, Planning Policy Manager, South Norfolk Council said:

“As part of this new process, we are setting out how we will consult with the people of South Norfolk about the Local Development Framework. We have laid out our plans about this consultation in a document called the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). Now we want to hear your comments on the SCI and what you think would be the best ways to get your communities involved in the consultation process.

“We will carefully consider any comments made and revise the Statement of Community Involvement accordingly. This will then be formally submitted to the Secretary of State.

”We really want to hear what you think and we urge you to get involved – after all the Local Development Framework is the key to South Norfolk’s future!”

Copies of the Statement of Community Involvement so far, can be viewed at South Norfolk Council offices in Long Stratton, which are open Monday to Thursday 8.45 to 16.45 and Friday 8.45 to 16.15.
