District council by-election result, Easton Ward

Conservative Party candidate Margaret Dewsbury of 6 Park Avenue, Barford, Norwich NR9 4BA, has been elected to serve Easton ward, in a by-election which took place on Thursday, 16th September.

The turnout was 45.8%.

The votes cast for each candidate are as follows:

Margaret Dewsbury (Cons) 500 votes (57.1%)

Paul W Blathwayt (Lib Dem) 336 votes (38.4%)

Andrew K Brockbank (Green) 40 votes (4.5%)

Total: 876 votes (100%)

The ward includes the Parishes of Barford, Easton, Great Melton, Marlingford and Colton and Wramplingham.

Cllr Dewsbury replaces Conservative Cllr Nicholas Dent, who resigned earlier this year, when he moved from the area.

Mrs Dewsbury has previously served as a councilor for South Norfolk.
