Discounted leisure scheme is passport to success

Released on 08 June 2004

South Norfolk Council's concessionary Passport to Leisure scheme is proving to be a great success – with around double the number of card holders than this time last year. Passport to Leisure cards offer discounts on leisure facilities at our own venues, and many others across the district and into Norwich and Suffolk.

There are now 1,723 card holders – and the cards have been used 22,000 times at our Leisure centres in Diss, Wymondham and Long Stratton – up from last year's 14,000.

Paul Hunt Sports Facilities Manager said the scheme is a real winner:

"It has been great to see the scheme grow and grow. It is truly inclusive, giving people access to discounted leisure activities. We want our residents to be able to enjoy a fit and healthy lifestyle and this scheme is an example of our commitment to achieving this.

And we have room for more - if you fit the criteria below and you would like to apply, we'd love to hear from you."
