South Norfolk Equalities Group

Summary

South Norfolk Council’s Equality Group is chaired by the Equalities Officer and is comprised of representatives from each Directorate of the Council. Local Members are invited to support the group.

Group Members are South Norfolk’s Equality Champions and Ambassadors within the Council. They are the conscience and ethics of the Council. We work with staff providing an ‘information conduit’ from the group to the rest of the Council on equality and diversity matters. We will also help, coach, encourage, facilitate and challenge in order to ensure that equality issues remain embedded and are part of everything we do.
